Pete defends Ashlee. Or not

This morning I was skimming through ONTD when my accute Wentz-radar went off. So apparently Petey asked this band called Neuorsonic to stop promoting their song, "So Many People." Because it's about Ashlee Simpson-- specifically, her lip syncing stunt on SNL. This is the video:

1. My first thought was Yeah right. I bet Neurosonic started this rumor themselves.
2. Hello, old news. Last time I even mentioned the event, I rolled my eyes at myself.
3. I wish this band would lip sync. To someone else's songs. Because they kinda suck.

That is all.

I've also heard this song before and it makes me laugh. Honestly Pete really needs to let it go because this band created this song because they wanted press and to get well known. Since Pete is telling them to stop they probably won't stop and people will find out about it and they will get what they want which is fame. Also, Ashlee is in the spotlight now she's going to get picked on and there's nothing Pete or her weird dad Joe can do about it.

Lol, this song rocks...! XD Fuck her

I think that publicly asking a band to stop promoting a song is actually promoting it more. For example, I never would have heard this song probably if I hadn't read this journal.

oh man!! i really dont know

He's only giving it more attention. and for him to tell them to knock it off when its public knowledge that she mimed would mean he's have to be telling everyone to never talk about it again - will he be complaining to the writers at Family Guy for taking the piss out of her too? And Good Charlotte - will he fight the Maddens to defend here for their mocking in 'I Just Wanna Live' ? It was years ago - before they were even a thing, no doubt she'll get caught out for something else sooner or later, he should be planning his defense for that rather than the mime incident

HAHAHAHA.
1. That song is hilarious.
2. Ashlee Simpson doesn't deserve any of the attention she gets in the first place, so let's all just let it go and stop writing songs about her.
3. I don't even think they're really dating. The whole thing reeks of PR people doing what they do best.

that's true. i've never heard this before, but then again also pete has the right to defend his girlfriend, pretty shitty of this band to bash someone like ashlee in a song, for crying out loud. keep it to your gossip circles, kiddos.

?
koti: 11/26/2007 2:14 PM
they suck so much. not that i'm an ashlee supporter but its kinda sad to make up a hate song about someone

Interesting move actually, at least they know how the press works...

Uh, not a fan of Pete, but this band is rocking out to nothing.... ummm... yeah, the song sucks.

I actually like that song. and I agree with (tryingtofindthewords) above me. I never did hear of the song until this was posted.
eyeheartpunk: 11/26/2007 2:21 PM
huh, I have mixed reviews. Don't like Ashlee Simpson much, but there must be something about her that Pete likes. I remember her show in MTV, she tries to be funny but she is not.

On the other hand a band trying to make it big off dissing her is just going to end up being a one hit wonder!
daniphotophobia: 11/26/2007 2:22 PM
Dude I love Neuorsonic. At least their sound is different from everyone elses songs which all sound pretty much exactly alike, and are all about the same stuff. Siriously, I am so sick of artist's not thinking out of the box anymore and not getting creative. Personally, yes it was a bit cruel to relate it to the Ashlee Simpson incident but on a different side, it's a good message their sending to drill into our brains. All these stars get simpathly for their crap, and we're the ones forced to put up with it.
