Unfortunately, the front page articles are the only thing that get any attention anymore as they don't answer help emails. Oh, and no offense towards you personally but this "garbage" is what's contributing to buzznet's fall into a myspace type site and caused the falling away from a photography site which is how it started. Sorry, but you're on the front page and it's a public forum so not everyone is gonna like it. If you can't take criticism then don't post this stuff

That's ok, that's just the type of response i expect from buzznet staff these days. Everything is personal, not professional as it should be. When going through the proper channels, no one ever helps most people and that's just a fact. Your attitude and inability to handle someone critisizing the posting of stories about something so irrelevant to the site isn't my problem.

I've been on buzznet for years in one form or the other, promoted the site, got people to sign up only to see it turn into a lame version of E Online. It used to be a photo sharing site, now it's broader into more multi-media. My beef is look how fast i get a reply from staff when i don't care to read about a gossip article, but i try and find out about why a function of the site is down and i never get a reply. I'm not "attacking" this girl at all, just the processes of the site. If you read you can see that.

It's my job to be the Community Manager. I'm here to help you (and thousands of other users) every single day and I think I do it well. Bree is a writer. So she's writing.

So I personally don't appreciate you lumping me into this ambiguous "they" term as if I'm some mysterious figure that's part of a Buzznet consortium that's out to get you.

I have many things to say to you. First off, being an asshole isn't going to get you shit: Not from me and certainly not from Bree. If you've come to expect us to be so "personal" instead of professional, why are you coming at us in such an unprofessional manner? (You get what you put in.)

Secondly, I run all the support emails and I don't recall reading a single one from you. I also haven't seen a Help Forum topic about it either. In fact, I haven't had a single person (I know of) complain that the audio playlists aren't working.

I understand that you dislike the direction Buzznet is heading. In fact, I understand it more than you know. That's why I created the Buzznet Originals project last year, to respond to the cries of "Foul play!" from many of Buzznet's longtime and older users.

The fact remains that this is certainly no way for an adult to treat another adult, Drew. I don't even like half the shit that gets posted on here. I just don't care about it. But I do my own part to write about stories that I find compelling, important, necessary, and intelligent. I post about music I think kids should be listening to. And so does everyone else who writes for Buzznet.

I'm not going to be a dick and pull some ridiculous bullshit like telling you to leave if you don't like this place. I don't want you to. I don't want anyone to. I want you to tell me what you think is wrong and what you think should be done instead. But I don't want you or anyone else to do so in an abrasive manner that's predicated on insults.

The only thing i don't like personally and called "garbage" is the content being put on the front page of the site. I don't care for it and expressed my opinion on the matter, that's my right i feel. I didn't intend in anyway to personally attack bree and i don't feel i did. I didn't realize at first that the article from the front page was actually attached to her blog. If she feels insulted i'm sorry, but all i'm doing is voicing my opinion about content that belongs on some dumb Mtv site in mine and the opinion of many other longtime users.

Secondly, i did send you two messages, they are sitting in my sent box as unread. One is from 3 days ago concerning "scene girl" spam. I also posted it in the help forum twice but it still has not shown up. It says you may have to wait for your post to show up but it's been hours. I also do not see any playlists on my page or anyone else's for that matter still. Also, the add and manage audio posts link is gone from my page as well. I never intended for my rant on "laguna beach" news to morph into my question about the playlists. My point is that it seems a lot of effort is put into irrelevant news for a photo/audio/video sharing site. I wish those energies were put to better use to restore this place to it's once greatness. I do know all the BS you put up with and that you (Mark) work your ass off answering thousands of questions that could be answered if people would just read a little. I love this site, obviously there's something drawing me back after all the times i've thrown up my hands and thought i couldn't take it anymore. I'm not being an asshole, i'm just being blunt. I like and care about this site and the direction it's heading in sucks. If i get another stupid "please buzz me, i'll luvs ya 4 life" message when i log in in the morning i'm gonna have an aneurism. I guess all i can do is avoid the homepage, keep blocking the scene spamsters and choose my words more wisely. But hey, if i didn't care, i wouldn't be so passionate.
