Marc Jacobs picks Lauren Conrad

Remember when I interviewed Lauren Conrad (The Hills) and she said Marc Jacobs was one of her favorite designers? No? Well, she did-- so now just how stoked do you think she is that he tapped her to walk the runway for him?

According to NYT/JJ, some veteran models are not that keen on this idea. They want to be on TV, but feel as if this is a "publicity show." Boo hoo?

I, personally, don't see the problem. I especially like this idea because Lauren isn't 5'11 and ano.

Back when she was a nobody, she used to take my mom and my moms boss out to lunch to try and convince them to sell her clothes in their store. Everytime she tells me about hanging out with her all the time, I grit my teeth with jealousy. She even has a vintage Betsey original somewhere that I'm dying to find.
