A Halloween Gift: The Raven, Read and Remixed

Need a little something to set a spooky mood for this weekend? We've got something that'll hit the spot.

Celebrity DJ Space Cowboy teamed up with labelmate Natalia Kills to put a fresh twist on Edgar Allan Poe's creepy classic narrative, The Raven. And they made exclusive for us and stuff. Hauntingly awesome, no? Listen...

Gabe's Face Is On Pete's Body. Permanently.

I've heard of people getting rings tattooed on their fingers after they get married, but getting your friend and label-mate's FACE inked on your calve for selling a million records? That's a new one. Pete Wentz, blazing trails as always. Let's talk about this...

The OP Tour in L.A. featuring The Maine, Cobra Starship and Boys Like Girls

First just let me shake my fist at both Lakers fans and MJ fans and the business of PARKING, because apparently last night was the first game of the season AND the red carpet premiere of "This Is It", which delayed me getting into the show by an HOUR AND A HALF, therefore missing VersaEmerge and A Rocket To The Moon. Jerkfaces. Please take your blinged out championish jacket and shove it. ANYWAY. Read more...

Bookish Blog: One For The (Emo) Kids

If you follow me on Goodreads, you may have noted that I quit both Wicked and On The Road. You know how a certain album fits perfectly with a certain time in your life, and if you'd discovered it a month earlier, you may not have embraced it in the same way? I think books can be like that, too. It wasn't the right time for either of those two. Read more...

The Young Veins Title Their Album

In case you had any hopes that Jon Walker and Ryan Ross would make a teary reunion with their bandmates Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith before anything was set in stone... well, forget it. The hippie-lovin' half of Panic at the Disco--The Young Veins--have given their album title a name. Drum roll, bishes!

Book Blog: Zombies, Fame and WTWTA

It's been awhile since I've talked about anything bookish her on Buzznet, so, it's time!

First off, last weekend I went to the West Hollywood book fair and there was a panel on zombie fiction! I ended up buying Breathers by S.G. Browne (the zombie is the main character for a change) because he was an interesting speaker AND he sold the screen rights to Fox Searchlight. Diablo Cody is going to produce the movie version! Also picked up Pretty Dead by Francesca Lia Block, who is a YA author. Haven't started either one yet, but I'll let you know. Needz moar bookz...

Johnny, Don't Go: RPattz to Replace Depp in Pirates?

The sulk-inducing news that Johnny Depp is no longer interestered in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow beyond the 4th Pirates film came shortly after Disney studio cheif Dick Cook stepped down. Compounded with Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley's waning interest, things aren't looking good for On Stranger Tides and anything beyond it. Your sleeves, I see you have some tricks up them...

Paramore Reschedules Tour Dates

Shall I skip the clever intro and just get to the point? Hayley Williams has layringitis. Her voice gave out at the very end of their first night on the tour, in Pomona, CA. The audience belted out "Misery Business" with the rest of the band in her absence. One night of rest wasn't enough for her pipes, though--they postponed last night's Hollywood Palladium show and then this morning came the announcement that all the dates until October 9th have been rescheduled. The info...

TGIF: Time To "Whip It"

Limber up, kids, because by the end (actually, it doesn't take that long--I'd say halfway through) of Whip It you're going to be rifling in the attic for your My Little Pony skates and totally ready to join a roller derby team. It's THAT kind of movie. Maybe you need some more convincing...
