First off, last weekend I went to the West Hollywood book fair and there was a panel on zombie fiction! I ended up buying Breathers by S.G. Browne (the zombie is the main character for a change) because he was an interesting speaker AND he sold the screen rights to Fox Searchlight. Diablo Cody is going to produce the movie version! Also picked up Pretty Dead by Francesca Lia Block, who is a YA author. Haven't started either one yet, but I'll let you know. Needz moar bookz...

The sulk-inducing news that Johnny Depp is no longer interestered in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow beyond the 4th Pirates film came shortly after Disney studio cheif Dick Cook stepped down.
