It is not the artist's place to say what is appropriate for children to listen to. It's the parents. Parents need to start taking more responsibility and stop blaming their childs every wrong-doing on the media. "There is too much violence on tv." "There is too many 'f-bombs' in this song" "This movie showed my child how to shoot heroin."
Let's get one thing straight, parents of the world. YOU gave your child money for the movie ticket. YOU let them buy the cd with the parental adviosary sticker on it. YOU let them turn on the tv instead of doing homework. No one in the media gave your child that freedom. Man up and own your mistakes.

I agree with lily. My Humps is definatley an innapropriate song--and it had so much publicity and was really popular. Not a good influence on children. Though i doubt the 7 year old would know what they were talking about...i mean they are 7 and its rare that a 7 year old would be able to easily associate "My humps, my lovley lady lumps" with Sex or anything related to sex. And as 'trendysecret' pointed out--it is the choice of that 7 year olds parents to allow them to listen to such blatantly sexual music. HOWEVER it is still the responsibility of the artist, if they find that their music is giong to be mainstream, to make sure their music is appropriate for the general public who will be listening--which will include young people.

i love lily allen and could really give two shits about fergie, but still, its a bit hipocritical. though, in lily's songs that include sex, they aren't soley about sex and using sex as a way t get what you want, so i think i'd have my kids listen to lily before fergie
