The Young Veins are streaming a second song on SupJustin.com. What do you think of it? Too Beatles-esque, or still stoked for the whole album? (Which is slated for an early 2010 release)
In no way is it original, but it's a fairly good song. It sounds more like a Beatles or Byrds tribute than a song that actually came from the 60's, which is OK, but the Black Hollies do it better.
I'll be a Panic! at the Disco fan till the end. I started listening to them because they had such a unique sound. That's why I was so thrilled about the break-up. This... not so much. :/
(on a side note: I'll probably be able to sing along with all the songs on their new album, whether I like it or not. Just because I don't love it, doesn't mean I won't end up continuing to follow their career.) X)
i picked the 5th one cos it was funny :) i dont really get their music, its okay but i remember like 4553457 14 yr old girls leaving comments before like "im listening over and over to make myself like their song Change" its like, wtf? dont MAKE yourself like it, you can support Ryan and Jon but not force yourself to like something that doesnt off the bat appeal to you :

Just because something doesn't appeal to someone "off the bat" doesn't mean it won't grow on you. I didn't like Gym Class Heroes at all when I first heard them, but I ended up becoming a huge fan of their music after hearing some of their other songs.
i just don't get it...the song isn't bad at all...but i really think that he could have done better on the lyrics...or maybe that's the "new" thing they wanted to do..idk...i'm having a headache...
I love it :)
It does have a very 60's British rock vibe, but I don't think it's too much... but that could also be because I was pretty much raised on the Beatles and the Byrds etc, so I love that sound in general
I like the sound. Being a Beatles fan, it's very Beatles-esque with a mix of Santana. But all in all I really enjoy it. It will definitely separate them from other genres. I wish Jon and Ryan the best in their new musical career.
I didn't think it sounded like the Beatles. At all. I think the only reason people are saying that in the first place is because it's been going around ever since the "Nine In The Afternoon" video. Just get over it please. It's starting to become an overdone comment, and when you say it, no one values your opinion. If I were to compare it to the Beatles however, i'd say it's more George Harrison than Beatles all together. Plus, I guess Ryan is super influenced by Harrison, so.... This may have been originally called "The Other Girl (In The Key Of George Harrison)". But whatever, it's just an opinion.
Can't wait for the album.

Still intrigued about the rest of the album...
